From the Relieving Principal
A BIG welcome to our 2026 Kinder Classes!
We look forward to welcoming all our 2026 Kindergarten parents and carers to the information evening next week on Wednesday 29 October. We're excited to meet our new Kinders as they join us for their orientation days which start the following week. It is always an exciting time of the year and one which the Stage 3 students look forward to when they meet their Kinder buddy. We have so many exciting activities planned!

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Day
On Monday, we were proud to host local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from Bondi Public School and Wairoa SSP for a special art workshop centred around our renowned Aboriginal murals. During the day, students explored the stories and significance behind our two iconic murals — Yesteryear and The Rights of the Child. These artworks sparked rich discussions about culture, identity, and history.
Inspired by what they learned, each student then had the opportunity to create their own meaningful piece of art. Every design reflected something personal from their own life, culture, or experiences, and students finished the day by sharing their creations with the group in a warm and respectful art appreciation session. It was a powerful day of connection, creativity, and cultural pride — also recognising the importance of story telling and passing on these stories to the next generations.

Week 2 Update
Stage 2 Science
This term in science, Year 3 and 4 students are learning about push and pull forces. As part of their first investigation, students had to apply the right amount of force when rolling, kicking and striking a ball with a racket to get it as close as possible to a target. Students then measured and recorded their results, developing their understanding of how the amount of force applied influences the distance an object will move. This practical activity provided an engaging and meaningful introduction to the topic.
