New Bike Racks
It's gratifying to see so many of our students making a healthy choice and either walking or riding to school. We currently have so many students riding their bikes that we've had to install additional bike racks. Next on the list are more scooter racks for our students who ride scooters.

Are you returning in 2026?
As we head towards the end of the year, it's time to start thinking ahead. To assist us with our planning for 2026, please complete this form to let us know your intentions for next year. Please complete one for each child currently attending the school. Year 6 don't need to respond.
Week 9 Update
Public Speaking

Kindergarten Mathematics
This term, Kindergarten have been revisiting patterns in mathematics. Students have explored repeating patterns using colours, shapes, sounds, movements and objects. They have also investigated how patterns can grow (forwards) and shrink (backwards), and represented patterns through creative activities such as dances, dominoes, fish and bug designs. These hands-on experiences are helping students to recognise, copy, continue and create their own patterns, building strong foundations for number sense and problem-solving.
Check out Gwen and River's repeating pattern here.

Festival of the Winds
Last Sunday, over 40 students from BBPS Choir and Recorder groups performed at Bondi's iconic Festival of the Winds delivering a memorable performance to an enthusiastic crowd.
The BBPS Recorder group opened the performance with a selection of pieces from the recent Festival of Music, including some contemporary favourites. They were later joined by the Year 2 recorder group for a lively rendition of Bluz for Suz, which had the audience tapping their feet.
Following this, the school choir captivated visitors from across Sydney. For many students, it was their very first public performance, while others were performing for the first time ever. The experienced singers led by example, and the entire group performed with remarkable cohesion, focus, enthusiasm, and joy.
Thank you to the families who supported our young performers and to the parents who helped on the day. Thank you also to Stuart West and Cassy for organising/practising/conducting our ensemble and choir. Waverley Council also expressed their appreciation for BBPS’s contribution and outstanding performances. These students are fantastic musical ambassadors for BBPS!
