From the Relieving Principal

Parent Information Sessions
This week we have been running our beginning of the year parent information sessions for parents and carers to come along, meet the teacher and find out about class programs and routines. If you couldn't make your child's session, please email the office if you'd like a copy of the teacher's presentation.
NAPLAN 2025
Each year the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is undertaken by students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Students will participate in tests for writing, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.
NAPLAN 2025 will take place from Wednesday 12 March to Monday 24 March.
NAPLAN is just one part of our school learning assessment program. The tests assess literacy and numeracy skills your child is already learning at school.
In preparation for NAPLAN, our school will undertake activities to help students become familiar with the format and functionality of the online tests. These activities are not an assessment of student ability and will not be marked. Excessive preparation for NAPLAN is not required nor recommended.
If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please contact your child’s teacher and further information is available via the link below.

Kiss and Go School Zone
As a reminder to our current families and a heads up to our new ones, the area in Warners Ave outside the school operates as a No Parking zone during the hours of 8.30am - 9.30am and 2.30pm - 4.00pm.
This means you can stop for less than 2 minutes if you stay within 3m of your vehicle if you're dropping off/picking up passengers, or loading/unloading goods.
The zones are designed for quick entry and exit, to minimise congestion and confusion, and to give all families the chance to drop off/pick up safely and quickly.
Fines are hefty - expect to pay $227 and lose 2 demerit points if you disobey the rules.
If you need more time to walk your child in and help them settle, please consider walking from home or parking legally in the surrounding streets and walking your child the rest of the way.
