School Newsletter Week 2 Term 1
From the Relieving Principal
A big welcome back to all our BBPS families and a special welcome to the new families starting at the school this year. We hope everyone has had a relaxing break and is looking forward to moving into the 2025 school year.
All students K-6 will return tomorrow with Years 1-6 starting at 9:am and our new kindy cohort starting at 9:30am. Students will remain in their 2024 class groups for the first few days while we determine enrolment numbers and finalise 2025 classes. We will start next week in our 2025 class groups.
The long awaited upgrade to the fixed playground equipment was started in the holidays and is well underway. The old equipment has been removed and the new equipment installed. We are waiting on the softfall to be laid before the area is officially handed over to the school and the fence removed. We're all very excited to have it open and ready for use.
In other minor works over the holidays, the wooden boundary fence between the uniform shop and the container blew over in the storm and has now been replaced.

Music 2025
Join the BBPS Band in 2025
Students from Years 3-6 are invited to join the school band each year. Rehearsals are on Thursday mornings at 8.00am. For younger students there are a number of music groups on offer. Follow this link or the QR code below to find out more.

Join the BBPS Recorder Ensemble 2025
Last year the Recorder Ensemble performed at a number of school and community events including The Festival of Instrumental Music at the Opera House, the iconic Festival of The Winds in Bondi Beach and recently at the BBPS Presentation Day.
Recorder Ensemble is open to students who are in Years 2-6. Students learn valuable skills of performance and working together in an ensemble. Recorder is an excellent start to picking up another woodwind instrument later, such as the clarinet. Interested students please register here or contact Mr West at school for any enquiries about the program.
